Technology patents
Cyplasin Biomedical Ltd. has acquired all of the
Intellectual Property rights to the Cyplasin
protein. The issued patents below currently encompass the present invention
as related to a protein having an anti-tumoral effect, a DNA encoding
such a protein, as well as its use and a process for the preparation,
and the manufacture of such a protein.
Our first patent, which describes
a “Protein having an anti-tumoral
effect,” has been granted as defined below:
US Patent No. 6,171,818 B1 was issued January 9, 2001
European Patent EP 0 858 465 was issued January 29, 2003
Japanese Patent NrHei 9-516992 was issued May 20,
2008
A second patent entitled “Cytotoxic Cyplasin
of the Sea Hare, Aplysia punctata, cDNA Cloning and Expression of Bioreactive
Recombinants” with US-Application No. 10/501,098 and European
Application No 02019 914.7-1521 has been granted in the United States.
The patent claims cover the production and manufacturing by mammalian
cells of a cytotoxic recombinant protein Cyplasin, and its use to treat
cancer:

8, 2008
Applications for these patents have been filed in all relevant countries on a worldwide basis and are expected to be issued as they are processed in due course.
